The Lantern Festival is the final day of the traditional Chinese New Year celebrations. On this day, people will hand out for lantern riddles/猜灯谜.

The trademark food of the Lantern Festival is called yuan xiao/元宵, it’s also known as tāng yuan /汤圆, which represent family reunions.
