Theme: Winter and Christmas
It’s now WINTER! We are so excited that Christmas is here! We’ve reviewed the FOUR SEASONS and continued GRATITUDE as our theme in December. We discussed how we can show kindness and how it makes us feel, talked about ways that we can help each other.
Seasons of the Year
We’ve learned that when the Earth goes around the Sun one time, it takes one year, twelve months! There are four seasons in a year. Spring brings breezes, stirs the dancing daffodil; Summer brings roses, fills the children’s hand with posies; Autumn brings the blast, then the leaves are falling down; Chill winter brings the snow, blazing fire, and Christmas treats!
Christmas is about Love For God is Love, unchanging, everlasting. He set His heart in love on me. Rich in kindness. Rich in patience. Love never fails.
Christmas is about Love, It’s a time of giving and celebration.
We love our friends, for smiling, sharing and caring......
Sometimes, a helping hand will make a big step......
Love cannot speak, but only thinks and does......
A fiend is someone who fills our lives, with beauty and joy and grace.
Christmas Fun
It's the most wonderful time of the year because Christmas is here! And we are ready for fun!
We are decorating Christmas tree!
Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way...... I'm sorting the bells in green color, yellow color, and red color!
Sewing a Christmas stocking is a challenging work, but i made it. let's have some decoration!
We are making our own Christmas tree!
I like counting with the beautiful green bells: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5......
Gingerbread House Night
We were getting together to build and decorate our unique Gingerbread house. We had a wonderful family time!
STEM-- Water
(absorb & dissolve)
We had so much fun in learning what can be absorbed by water.
Ms. Jasmine set out a bunch of things to test absorption with us –towel, sponge, cotton wool balls, rock, glass, plastic bag, etc. We observed that items like the sponge does a great job and the rock does not absorb any water.
We had another fun Water Science -- Dissolved. We loved mixing different ingredient into the water and observing the results.
Chinese Activities——
I love my family
We love tracing the Pinyin letter and singing the sound bucket "k": 蝌蚪有声母“k”，蝌蚪有声母“k”，k,k,k,k,k,k, 蝌蚪有声母”k”。
We are learning FAMILY this month. I love my family, families are people who cares about me.
These are my family members: 我爱我的爸爸，我爱我的妈妈，我爱我的哥哥，我爱我自己！
Let's make our Family Time Line. I like to know how old are my family members. And I also learned the Chinese “你几岁？”，“我四岁了！”
We love this story "The Giving Tree". Love is something beautiful, strong and brave......
