Shamrock Montessori is a fully licensed Montessori school, not a daycare. As proud members of the Pacific Northwest Montessori Association (PNMA), we focus on purposeful learning, fostering independence, and nurturing spiritual growth in a structured, loving environment.

We use certified Montessori materials, mixed-age classrooms, and trained Montessori guides to implement Dr. Maria Montessori’s proven approach. Our learning environments are calm, engaging, and intentionally prepared to help children develop focus, independence, and confidence.

At Shamrock Montessori, we welcome children from 2 months to 6 years old. Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed to support each developmental stage, from infants to kindergarteners, respecting every child’s unique pace and potential through the Montessori approach.

Yes! We partner with Food for Thought Catering to offer fresh, balanced meals prepared with young children in mind. Led by Chef Ed, who brings over 12 years of experience, our food program supports physical wellness and joyful eating throughout the day.

Each day includes uninterrupted work periods, outdoor play, group activities, and quiet time—structured around the child’s natural rhythms. Montessori classrooms follow a consistent routine that balances independence and community, learning and rest.

Student safety is our top priority. We have secure entry protocols, trained staff, and clearly defined emergency procedures. Classrooms are designed with visibility and supervision in mind, and we maintain low student-to-teacher ratios to ensure attentive care.

At Shamrock Montessori, we maintain intentionally small class sizes to ensure focused attention and support. For instance, toddler classrooms have a 1:7 ratio with a floater teacher, while primary classes typically have a 1:10 ratio. Both lead and language teachers actively guide and teach, fostering a collaborative and enriching learning environment.

At Shamrock, formal homework is not assigned in the early years. Instead, we encourage families to support learning at home through reading, conversation, and everyday life skills. Our goal is to keep the child’s curiosity alive without adding pressure.
